Almost Ready

The room full of boxes.
Well, it looks like we're mostly set to move next week.  I still have a few things to pack, but the vast majority is already done and ready to go out the door.  Thankfully, everything has fallen into place -- a place to move to, moving help on both ends, finding enough boxes, and even taking a few days off work while in transit.

You really can't fuss too much when things go as smoothly as they have so far.  Okay, so maybe, just maybe, I've been going through at least a pot of coffee a day, not getting much sleep, and working extra long hours, but it's just a season of life.  I hopefully won't be in this sleep-deprived and disorganized (well, not really, but it feels that way) state for ever, and I plan to one day work long hours as a wife/mother instead of for money.  But for now, it's all good.

It was a long day for us all.  :)
When I feel like complaining, I remind myself that Justin is working at least as hard as I am, and with fewer visible results (he probably accomplishes more, but it's not like he can look at a room stacked high with boxes and say "I did that today").  So I keep working as long as he is working, sometimes longer, because I want to do my part.

I also remind myself that God has providentially orchestrated this move and that He can use me for whatever jobs He wants to use me for, including cleaning the bathroom for the fifth time this week (moving/having company is messy work).  I'm thankful for all the people He has used to make this moving time good and smooth.  It's amazing to me how some people can be so helpful and so thoughtful at the same time, you know what I mean?  I think it's easy to get caught up in "She says that this needs to be done" without thinking that "she" (I) might be missing something more important, like Christian fellowship.  But we are blessed with friends who are willing to go out of their way to encourage us in Christ and do manual labor like carrying furniture and boxes and cleaning for us.

“But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” 2 Thessalonians 3:3 NIV
