First Post Ever

So this is my very first blog post - at least, my very first blog post in several years. I've decided that, with a new chapter in my life and enough free time to devote to this, I might as well record some stuff for posterity. I tend to forget the useful tips and tricks I pick up in my every-day life, especially when it comes to doing things I hardly ever do. Consider this a record of those things, and probably other things, too. =)
