More Spring Pictures & Miscellaneous Thoughts

Rosemary
We had a really rainy weekend here, which brought thunderstorms and tornado warnings.  I was very glad to be inside!  The lamps were on all weekend because it was as dark as night inside, lol.  One day, maybe we'll have an apartment with more than two windows. :)

It's supposed to be a little bit warmer this week.  I still need to plant a few flowers, so I certainly hope it warms up!  I think the pansies are enjoying the chilly temperatures, but marigolds and petunias are not fond of cool weather.  (I don't think my rosemary likes it, either.)

This weekend, for the first time ever, Justin did teacher training for new TPS teachers.  It was a challenge for him because he hasn't experienced TPS registration yet, but I think he did a really good job.  The teachers seem excited to start the new year and don't seem too worried about the steep learning curve that comes with the territory.

TPS registration opens today - please pray that all of the teachers get plenty of students enrolled in their classes, and that the families make wise decisions about what classes to enroll their children in!

Marigolds
Some friends of ours (well, they were friends of my parents' first - I think my dad knew the husband in high school, if I'm not mistaken) were in town and got to come over for dinner last night.  They brought their three girls, eight years old and younger, who seemed to enjoy our toys (yes, we have toys).  They especially enjoyed our geomags, which are magnetic sticks and metal balls that you can use to build geometric shapes.  Parents like them, too.  :)

Hopefully I'll get to plant my flowers soon (and may have more pictures of things besides flowers soon, haha).  :)

  1. You can pant your plansies in pots and bring them inside so they don't freeze their ability of photosynthesis. Or dig them up and put them in some old pans until it warms up.

Was Benny scared when they came over?

  2. Your reading fairy! There she is! She's so cute. Your plants look healthy. You can bring your rosemary, marigolds, and petunias in until it warms up, but don't put them back outside to abruptly or you'll shock them. They should be okay outside even if it's pretty chilly, though.
